This activity gave students experience of both 'cookery language' and 'following instructions; in an authentic English environment. Primary five and six students participated in a 90-minute pizza making workshop at the Taikoo Shing branch of Pizza Express. The workshop was conducted entirely in English by native-speaking Pizza Express staff members. The students were able to learn and use a variety of English vocabulary related to pizza making, while following the English instructions carefully to make their own delicious pizzas.
